Alhama de Granada is a small town of Granada, found in a strategic location between the provinces of Granda and Málaga: Positioned at the feet of Sierra Tejeda, a mountain that belongs to the natural park of las sierra de Tejeda, Almijara and Alhama; Alhama is located only 50km from the capital city Granada; and 40km from the towns of Málaga of Axarquía.

Offering, on one hand the tranquility of village life of approximately 6,000 inhabitants and on the other, dynamism, agility and speed offered by the centre of the city.

As for landscapes and horizons are countless, beautiful prints which can be enjoyed on its surroundings, scenic spots such as the gorge (Los Tajos), the reservoir of los Bermejales, the arab baths.

Like a good Andalusian town we find ourselves with great bars and restaurants that thrive in summer and that always offer us with their traditional tapas.

Between all the local fiestas the most important one are the candelaria (similar to the English bonfire night), The carnaval ( most famous for its Piñata Sunday) the romeria of wine, the fairs of July and September and the music festival.
